Registration Opens for Bar-Ilan’s Two New Joint Master Degrees

Bar-Ilan University’s International School has two new Erasmus Mundus Joint Master programs open to graduate students for the 2023-2024 academic year – NeuroData: Joint MSc in Brain and Data Science and ChEMoinformaticsPlus: Joint MSc in Chemoinformatics. These international degrees are funded by the EU’s Erasmus Mundus program.

Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters are high-level, integrated study programs designed and delivered by an international partnership of higher education institutions (HEI) involving at least three HEI from three different countries.

Scholarships are available for students to take part in these prestigious degrees, which are offered to top applicants worldwide, and cover the cost of a student’s participation in the program, travel, and a living allowance.

NeuroData: Joint MSc in Brain and Data Science

NeuroData brings neuroscientists and data scientists together in an innovative, specialized program that will cultivate a new generation of multidisciplinary researchers with in-depth knowledge in both fields, researchers who are highly skilled in investigating the most complex problems faced by the human race – the human mind and brain in health and disease.

Students will be exposed to fresh ideas, new scientific paradigms, different ways to conduct research, and innovative ways to explore science – with more experts in their fields of study than they would’ve had at only one university.

NeuroData: MSc in Brain and Data Science is a collaboration between six leading universities in Israel and Europe: Bar-Ilan University (Israel); Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon (Portugal); University of Jyväskylä (Finland); University of Padua (Italy); Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (The Netherlands); and University of Zagreb (Croatia).

Graduates of this specialized program will receive a double master’s degree from two of the partner universities, depending on the choice of study track.

ChEMoinformaticsPlus: Joint MSc in Chemoinformatics

ChEMoinformaticsPlus aims to train specialists for the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, with strong skills in chemistry, basic computer science, and a broad knowledge of chemoinformatics methods.

Students who choose the Chemoinformatics and Materials Informatics specialization (Bar-Ilan University and University of Strasbourg) will spend their first year of the MSc in the Chemoinformatics program at BIU, a semester at Unistra, and a semester at a company or in a research laboratory (internship). Graduates of this specialized program will receive a double master’s degree from both universities.

ChEMoinformaticsPlus: MSc in Chemoinformatics is a collaboration between seven leading universities in Europe and Israel: the University of Strasbourg (France), which will manage the program and the funding; Bar-Ilan University (Israel); the University of Paris (France); the University NOVA of Lisbon (Portugal); the University of Milan (Italy); the University of Ljubljana (Slovenia); and the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, (Ukraine); as well as two associated partners: the University of Vienna (Austria) and the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industrial University (Azerbaijan).
