The investment world is continually changing. Public and private capital are looking at emerging markets differently, even from within the recent past (five years). After taking this course, students will have the basic tools that will enable them to work or invest in emerging markets.
The purpose of this course is to give students a basic understanding and overview of both emerging and frontier markets, and sensitize them to the importance of principal markets, due diligence, and derivatives instruments.
In addition, students will learn to identify and navigate institutional voids, and will understand the importance of developing a culture I.Q.

Prof. Andrew Schein’s expertise lie in International Economics and he has written many papers for academic journals and other publications. He earned his Doctorate from New York University in the US, and has taught graduate level classes at New York University, Trinity College and Boston University. He also teaches undergraduate level studies at Lehman College, Trinity College, Yeshiva University, and Hadassah Academic College.
Dr. Weldon Turner has worked with major corporations in their emerging markets divisions and has extensive experience in growing new companies. He is a Director and COO at Gigawatt Global, a multinational renewable energy company focused on the development and management of utility-scale solar fields in emerging markets. Dr. Turner holds a BA in History and Political Science from Union College, NY, received his JD law degree from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, Yeshiva University, and his LLM from Thomas Jefferson Law School.
