She takes over the position from our beloved Yael Toledano. With her impressive background in international marketing and business development, Efrat brings a wealth of experience and a clear vision to her role: to elevate Bar-Ilan University’s global presence and showcase its groundbreaking research and academic achievements.
Efrat’s vision centers on promoting Bar-Ilan’s research excellence, fostering international collaborations, creating meaningful and memorable visitor experiences, and strengthening the university’s global brand. She plans to develop initiatives that highlight the university’s cutting-edge contributions to science, innovation, and education, ensuring they receive the global recognition they deserve. By building strategic partnerships with universities, research institutes, and global organizations, Efrat aims to create opportunities for knowledge exchange and joint initiatives. She is also committed to crafting impactful academic and professional visits that leave international delegations with a deep appreciation for Bar-Ilan’s expertise, values, and achievements.
Efrat’s professional journey underscores her ability to turn vision into reality. She has held leadership roles in marketing and business development, including serving as International Marketing & Business Development Manager at the Manufacturers Association of Israel and Marketing Manager at Interface Masters Technologies in Silicon Valley. Her experience also includes managing international exhibitions and branding activities at the Israel Export Institute. Efrat’s strategic insights and innovative approaches have consistently driven growth and strengthened global collaborations.
Efrat holds an MBA in Business Management with a specialization in marketing and an MA in Middle Eastern Studies from Be’er Sheva University. A former member of Israel’s elite intelligence unit 8200, she is fluent in Hebrew and English and highly skilled in leveraging digital tools to deliver measurable impact. Her proactive, creative, and results-driven approach promises to further enhance Bar-Ilan University’s standing as a leader in research and education.
