students receive holiday boxes from Osem
Before Passover and Easter, Bar-Ilan University approached Osem Israel, one of the largest food manufacturers and distributors in the country, to help the university support its international students who were alone on campus during the holidays due to the Coronavirus situation.
Osem agreed to donate a truck full of food supplies to the university. BIU’s International School staff and student volunteers got together to pack the goodies into boxes and distribute them to more than 120 students who were celebrating Passover, Easter, and other holidays, away from their home countries.
“We’d like to thank Osem for its generous donation,” said Ofer Dahan, Director of BIU’s International School. “This was an enormous help to our students, all of whom have been on campus throughout the lockdown. Osem went above and beyond traditional customer service in order to provide our students with food and other special treats for the holidays.”
