Bar-Ilan University’s Communications team publishes articles on current students, alumni, and faculty members on a regular basis. This month, we’re featuring one student and three professors.
Lee Azolai
Second-Year Student, Azrieli Faculty of Medicine
Lee Azolai, 29, is a second-year student at Bar-Ilan University’s Azrieli Faculty of Medicine, and the new President of the Medical Student Association of the Galilee.
When his clinical studies were put on hold for two months due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Lee and his fellow students began volunteering – assisting Magen David Adom with Coronavirus testing, at first in patients’ homes; then at drive-through sites.
The volunteers were also instrumental in delivering medicine and food to the elderly, and in assisting hospital staff in the Galilee.
Prof. Evan Fallenberg

Prof. Evan Fallenberg is one of a handful of Bar-Ilan University faculty members on a special track for artists. He heads the fiction track for students pursuing their MA in Creative Writing, and he initiated the MA in Literary Translation, which has already served students translating from 20 different languages into English.

Dr. Dana Atzil-Slonim
