BIU’s Virtual Open Days
BIU’s main campus open days take place on Thursday, June 3, and Friday, June 4, 2021. The events during these two days are all in Hebrew with the exception of four general lectures on literature and linguistics. Find out more about these talks and register for the open days here.
Multidisciplinary BA in Jewish Studies Open Day
The International School’s first online open day in June takes place on Sunday, June 6, 2021, and will focus on our new Multidisciplinary BA in Jewish Studies. Prof. Yigal Levin, who heads the Multidisciplinary Department, will provide all the relevant information and answer any questions you may have about this undergraduate degree program. MA in Jewish Philosophy Open Day
The open day for the new Master of Arts in Jewish Philosophy, which starts in October this year, will take place on Sunday, June 13, 2021, at 19:00 Israel time (18:00 CET / 17:00 BST / 9:00 PDT / 12:00 EDT). Others can check the time in their country here.
The Department of Jewish Philosophy is devoted to the research and teaching of all fields of Jewish thought from the classical period until the writing of Jewish philosophy in modern times, including the study of Kabbalah and Chassidism. Special emphasis is put on the study and research of philosophical thinking, mystical contemplation, and interreligious relations. You can read more about this here.

MA in Religious and Middle Eastern Politics Open Day

Last Call: Undergraduate Studies (English Literature and Linguistics)
As the new 2021-2022 academic year is almost upon us, applications for our undergraduate degrees will be closing soon. This open day, which takes place on Sunday, June 27, 2021, will cover our BA degrees in English Literature and Linguistics. If any of you have questions about the MA in Linguistics: Clinical Research, you’ll be able to ask these in this session as well.
There will be two sessions for this open day, one in the morning and one in the evening. The morning session will take place at 10:00 Israel time (9:00 CET / 8:00 BST) and the evening session will take place at 19:00 Israel time (18:00 CET / 17:00 BST / 9:00 PDT / 12:00 EDT). Excavating at an Archaeological Dig in Israel this Summer
Prof. Aren Maeir, director of the Institute of Archaeology at Bar-Ilan University and a professor in the Martin (Szusz) Department of Land of Israel Studies and Archaeology (LISA) will be conducting excavations at Tel Tzafit (Tell es-Safi/Gath) this summer from July 4-30, 2021, for anyone interested in participating.
