How to Apply?
Postdoctoral Research Fellows – Foreign Passport holders only
We congratulate you on your upcoming postdoctoral fellowship at Bar-Ilan University. Here are several notes, ordered step-by-step, that will hopefully make things easier.

If you’re here, we assume you have already found an advisor that will accompany you throughout your research.
Second: The Forms
Next step is the application. BIU’s Academic Secretariat office oversees the application and registration process.
Please fill out the post-Doctoral fellowship Application form, and upload the required documents:
One of the three documents (the latest of them) as follows: Confirmation of submitting your dissertation or Certification of Eligibility for a Ph.D. or Diploma of Ph.D.
Additionally, you will need to upload:
Approval of postdoctoral supervisor
Your Curriculum Vitae | ||
Health Declaration | ||
Letter of Recommendation
List of your publications
Photocopy of your passport |
The full policy can be found here, you should sign it as well – below your advisor’s signature – on the last page.
Third: Registration
The signed forms will be forwarded (by the department) to the Academic Secretariat, and they will register duly. Once you’re registered to the university’s systems, you’ll be able to use the Inbar, the BIU app, and so forth. Here is our Essential Information page, where you can find all the information you need.
Your POC at the International School is Zvi Swisa, his email address is [email protected]. If you have any questions or queries – don’t hesitate contacting him.
