Bar-Ilan University’s International School would like to wish all its Jewish friends a Shana Tova u’Metuka (a good, sweet year), G’mar Chatima Tova (may you be inscribed in the Book of Life for good), well over the Fast, and Chag Sukkot Sameach (happy Sukkot holidays).
During the Jewish holidays in September and October, Bar-Ilan University and the International School will be closed.
The dates we’ll be open follow the dates of closure.
Rosh Hashanah
Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year) starts on the eve of Sunday, September 25, and finishes on Tuesday, September 27.
Yom Kippur
Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement) takes place from the eve of Tuesday, October 4 until Wednesday, October 5.
Sukkot, Shemini Atzeret/Simchat Torah
Sukkot (also known as the Feast of Tabernacles or Booths) is a week-long holiday, which takes place from the eve of Sunday, October 9, and culminates with Shemini Atzeret/Simchat Torah (Seventh day of Sukkot/Rejoicing of the Torah), which starts on the eve of Sunday, October 16, and ends on Monday, October 17.

The university will be back to regular working hours from Tuesday, October 18, 2022.
Orientation Day for the new academic year, 2022-2023 will take place on Thursday, October 20, 2022.
