Interior Minister Aryeh Deri announced in a statement on Wednesday, July 22, 2020, that permission would be granted to international students, who plan to begin (or continue) their studies in Israel this coming October, to enter Israel, despite the general ban on entry of foreigners.
Bar-Ilan University has been voted Israel’s most beautiful campus
Classes will take on a different format due to COVID-19. Some will take place in person and others will be on Zoom.
However, while some classes will be via Zoom, students will still need to be in Israel to participate in the “face-to-face” teaching sessions. But please rest assured that every precaution will be taken to keep all students safe and protected while they are students at Bar-Ilan University
While this agreement is exciting news for Bar-Ilan University and our international students, we would like to emphasize that the details of this plan are subject to change due to the global, fluctuating situation with COVID-19.
Therefore, we recommend students purchase only fully-refundable airline tickets just in case anything changes.
We apologize for the error in our previous email, but the deposit for accommodation booked in our dorms is not refundable.
While we will keep everyone informed if there are changes, we suggest you keep your eyes on the news to make sure you don’t miss any new decisions made by the Israeli government in this regard.
PLEASE NOTE: THE APPLICATION DEADLINE FOR ALL DEGREES HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO SEPTEMBER 1, 2020!
