Bar-Ilan University’s International School has decided to extend its application deadline one last time – until September 30 – to ensure that everyone who wishes to study in Israel at Bar-Ilan, one of the top universities in the world, will be able to achieve their goals.
This decision was made after the demand for information about Bar-Ilan University and our degrees increased dramatically as a result of the Israeli government’s announcement in July that it would open its borders for international students for the upcoming academic year.
Many of you had set your sights on studying at Bar-Ilan University but weren’t sure it could happen this year. Now you can renew your excitement about your future studies. Our aim is to accommodate all of you.
Zoom your way in to BIU
In addition to the deadline extension, we are setting up a Zoom session for potential students to find out everything you need to know about our degrees, the registration process, visas, dorms, COVID-19 regulations and quarantine, online-learning options vs classroom learning, and more.
Find out about studying at Bar-Ilan University by taking a virtual tour of the campus and watching our latest video, which includes comments from Ofer Dahan, Executive Director of the International School, and two of our students, Chloe Schwartz from the US (BA in Political Science and Communications) and Madina Telkhozhayeva from Kazakhstan (PhD in Chemistry).
Chloe will join the Zoom chat with Mingying Qin from China (International MBA), so you can ask them questions about their experiences.
At the end of each Zoom session, we will draw some names out of a hat and a few lucky participants attending each session will receive a special discount on their registration fees.

Registered Students’ Zoom Session
If you’re reading this newsletter and you’ve already registered and been accepted as a Bar-Ilan student, we will be hosting a Zoom session especially for you.
On Sunday, September 13 at 19:00 (Israel time: GMT+3), Bar-Ilan’s International School team will provide you with all the information you need for your upcoming year at the university.
New students will be welcomed and asked to introduce themselves. You’ll meet the International School team; find out about the university and the situation regarding COVID-19; get all the information you need about visas and dorms; and learn about social life on campus.
We will show you how to use In-Bar, our personal student portal, and help you with course registration and payments through the portal. After a summary of the event, we will open up the session for questions.
As this session is limited time-wise, we suggest you read through the International School’s Student Guide before the Zoom session as this may answer some of the questions you have or provide you with others you can then ask in the meeting.
