What better way to celebrate “Friendship Day” than by getting together to have fun with existing friends and make new ones? Bar-Ilan University’s International School hosts a variety of events during the year and this one took place just before many went off for summer holidays.
The Friendship Day event, which was arranged by Hadar Giat, Director of Student Affairs and Well-being, and her student intern, Orli Ben-David, took place on campus at the end of July. They were assisted by Yung Chi Shamayim Tsang from China, who is part of the International School’s student leadership group and a Master’s student in the Department of Land of Israel Studies and Archaeology.
Discovering new things about friends and family and making new friends at the same time was the main aim of this Friendship Day event.
A wide variety of games were played as a group (board games like Kahoot, drawing games, guessing games, getting-to-know-you games, and more), allowing students to share their academic experiences, talk about themselves, and tell stories. A short film of the TV series, “Friends,” was shown, and pizzas, sweets, and soft drinks were provided.
